Matthew is responsible for overseeing all financial functions and business operations at Wilon, in addition to helping customize financial plans for each of the firm’s clients. With extensive knowledge of the market and market opportunities, Matthew’s strength lies in his investment analysis and selection skills.
As a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and the owner of multiple small businesses, Matthew’s true passion is entrepreneurship. He uses his experience and knowledge to assist entrepreneurs with ambitious financial goals or those who need help with the financial complexity that comes with success. Matthew also enjoys helping Wilon’s clients achieve their specific objectives, whether it be selling their business or passing their farm on to another generation.
Matthew was born with finance in his blood. Since his early days spent reading the Wall Street Journal over his grandfather’s shoulder, Matthew’s interest in the markets has evolved into the cornerstone of this wealth management firm. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Iowa, Matthew began his career as an Investment Representative for Waddell & Reed before going on to co-found Wilon Wealth Management in 2007. Matthew brings his lifelong passion for investments and financial planning to all aspects of his role at Wilon.
Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys anything outdoors, whether it be golfing, biking or working on his aronia berry farm. He and his wife Kelly live in Cumming and have two sons, Easton and Arthur.
